Part 12009221 Range Vent Hood Operating Control Module
Purpose
Regulates ventilation fan speed and lighting functions.
Details
The operating control module serves as the primary electronic brain for the downdraft vent or range hood system. It translates user inputs from the control panel button matrix into direct mechanical action, safely cycling the ventilation blower motor across variable fan speeds and activating the cooking surface illumination lights. Over time, internal circuit relays can degrade, capacitors can fail from continuous current cycles, or exposure to rising heat, airborne grease, and localized cooking moisture can cause electrical shorts. Common symptoms of a failing module include a ventilation fan that refuses to turn on, a blower that locks onto one fixed speed, unresponsive panel buttons, flickering hood lights, or an absolute loss of system power.
Included Items
Includes one genuine OEM operating control module electronic board assembly. A screwdriver or socket driver is required to open the control housing wrapper during installation.
